The Printer Doctor respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our service requests, why we collect it, and your rights. It is written to meet Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
The site’s fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads; no cookie is set for this.
The service request form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam. Cloudflare receives technical information about your browser for this check only.
Google Analytics runs only if you click “Accept” in the cookie banner. It then sets cookies (named _ga) to count visits. If you decline, Google Analytics does not run and no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is kept for 12 months in a cookie named pd_consent; you can change it at any time with the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of every page. The pd_lang cookie remembers the language you choose with the EN | FR switch (12 months).
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. Your information is used only by The Printer Doctor staff who handle your request. We share it only when needed to provide the service (for example, with the technician who visits you), when the law requires it, or with your consent.
Our website, service request system and email are run by service providers. Some information may therefore be stored outside Quebec and outside Canada, including in the United States, with adequate safeguards.
Service request and service history information is kept as long as needed to provide service and to meet our accounting and tax obligations, then securely destroyed. Server logs are deleted after about one month.
You may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or withdraw your consent. Contact the Privacy Officer above; we will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (Quebec residents) or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
The site is served over HTTPS, and access to your information is limited to staff who need it. If a privacy incident creates a risk of serious harm, we will notify the people affected and the appropriate privacy authority.
We may update this policy. The date of the last update appears at the top of this page.
